Keith Berryman, BSc, FICE, MIStructE, Deputy Chief Executive of Cross London Rail Links (CLRL), has stepped up to become acting Chief Executive (CEO).

Keith is currently Head of Operations & Development, responsible for all Crossrail engineering operations, and is one of the UK’s most experienced transport infrastructure engineers. He will continue in this role.
He is a civil engineer and has spent the last 30 years on the design and construction of new railways.
He has worked on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), the West Coast Main Line, the Jubilee Line in the UK, and on the Mass Transit Railway in Hong Kong.
He previously worked on highway construction in Nepal and in central Africa.
He was acting CEO of Crossrail when the project was launched in 2001.
‘We continue on our way, having passed the crucial Second Reading stage of the Crossrail Bill in parliament, and dealing with the public, stakeholders and others concerning the design of the railway,’ said Mr Berryman.
CLRL expects to appoint a CEO at a later date.
Martin Buck has been appointed Commercial Manager.
He will be responsible for funding and finance, and also for procurement and the management of works and agreements with contractors, 3rd parties, consultants.
He has come from Partnerships UK, a PPP organisation jointly owned by the Treasury and the private sector.
He was there five years, and led their taskforce dealing specifically with transport issues. Before that he was with the Treasury Taskforce.
He has worked on London Underground PPP, and the establishment of Network Rail from Railtrack. Has also worked on light rail schemes such as the DLR, Croydon, Nottingham, Leeds and Portsmouth.
